PM Modi congratulates the ICC Women’s team after the World Cup crown

Delhi – After the heartbreaks in 2005 and 2017, Indian women’s cricket team finally becomes the queen of the World Cup yesterday at D.Y. Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai. India defeated South Africa by 52 runs all-out at midnight. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the ICC Women’s team on their respective X handle post.

In his post PM Modi said, “A spectacular win by the Indian team in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Finals. Their performance in the final was marked by great skill and confidence. The team showed exceptional teamwork and tenacity throughout the tournament. Congratulations to our players.”

PM Modi expressed his hope that this victory will inspire the new generation to play cricket for their motherland. He posted, “ This historic win will motivate future champions to take up sports. #WomensWorldCup2025” PM Modi posted this on 12;04 am today.
