A major political controversy erupted in Parliament after the Trinamool Congress accused Union minister Kiren Rijiju and BJP MP Ravneet Bittu of assaulting its women MPs.
According to TMC leaders, the alleged incident took place during a heated exchange inside the House. Party MPs claimed that their female colleagues were manhandled when they tried to protest against the government on various issues.
