Shivani Jaiswal , New Delhi -  The Himachal Pradesh government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by 60 paise per litre. The revised fuel prices have come into effect immediately and are expected to impact commuters, transport operators and businesses across the state.

Following the hike, consumers will have to pay more for petrol and diesel at fuel stations. Experts believe the increase could also lead to higher transportation costs, which may eventually affect the prices of essential goods and services.
Officials said the revision has been made as part of the state's financial and revenue requirements.

However, no changes have been announced in the prices of LPG or other petroleum products. The fuel price hike is expected to have a direct impact on the daily expenses of vehicle owners and the logistics sector. People across the state are now closely watching for any further revisions in fuel prices.
