The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has strongly criticized the recent Enforcement Directorate raids at the premises of a state minister, calling them an attempt to divert attention from what it described as vote manipulation by rivals.
Party leaders said the raids were timed to create political pressure and influence public opinion ahead of upcoming electoral battles. They added that the DMK would not be intimidated by such actions and would continue to raise its voice against what it sees as unfair practices.
According to sources, the ED conducted searches in connection with alleged financial irregularities. However, DMK leaders maintained that the move was driven by political vendetta rather than genuine investigation.
The party has urged its supporters to remain calm and united, stressing that it will fight the matter both legally and politically.
