Desk Correspondent , Delhi - In a major security operation ahead of New Year’s Eve, the Delhi Police have arrested hundreds of individuals across the national capital. This massive "area domination" exercise was designed to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents during the upcoming celebrations. During the raids, security forces seized several illegal pistols and a large amount of ammunition from various locations. The crackdown targeted known criminals and anti-social elements who might have planned to disrupt the festive spirit of the city.

The police have increased patrolling in crowded areas like malls, markets, and popular party spots to maintain law and order. Special checkpoints have been set up to monitor vehicle movements and check for illegal weapons or substances. Highlighting the success of the operation, a senior police official stated, "We have arrested hundreds of criminals and seized illegal arms to ensure a peaceful New Year for all citizens." He added that the force is on high alert and will not tolerate any hooliganism or dangerous behavior on the streets.

Residents have been urged to follow safety guidelines and cooperate with the personnel on duty during the celebrations. The department has also deployed specialized teams to monitor social media for any inflammatory posts or rumors. Emphasizing the goal of the mission, another official remarked, "Our massive operation is aimed at creating a safe environment so that families can celebrate without any fear of violence." With hundreds now in custody, the Delhi Police remain committed to keeping the city secure as it moves into the new year.
