The reported irregularities have raised concerns over the storage, handling and quality of food products being delivered through online grocery platforms.
According to reports,
inspections conducted by food safety authorities found alleged lapses in compliance with prescribed food safety standards. The findings have prompted officials to initiate further action and seek explanations from the companies regarding the reported violations.
Food safety authorities are reviewing the inspection reports and assessing whether the alleged lapses could have affected consumer safety. The companies are expected to take corrective measures to address the issues identified during the inspections.
