The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has suspended K Kavitha, daughter of party chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, citing allegations of anti party activities. The decision marks a major development within the party, which has been facing internal rifts following its recent electoral setbacks.
According to party leaders, the suspension came after repeated complaints that Kavitha’s actions were working against the interests of BRS. Though specific details were not officially disclosed, sources indicated that her activities had created differences within the leadership at a time when the party is trying to rebuild its base.
Kavitha, a former MP and a prominent face of BRS, has not yet issued a formal response. However, the move is expected to have significant political implications in Telangana, where she has been a known figure in both party organization and public outreach.
Political observers believe the suspension could deepen internal divisions within BRS, especially as it looks to regain ground against the ruling Congress. The development also raises questions about the future role of Kavitha in state politics and her next course of action.
