On Thursday night, Kolkata police arrested three suspects wanted in connection with the October 7 murder of a trader in Rajasthan. The three were apprehended in the Phoolbagan area of East Kolkata.
The victim, Ramesh Rulaniya, was a motorcycle agency owner and active BJP worker. He was shot dead while working out on the second floor of a gym on Station Road in Kuchaman, Rajasthan. CCTV footage showed three masked assailants entering the gym and opening fire before fleeing on two waiting vehicles.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Ganpat Gurjar, Mahesh Gurjar, and Dharmendra Gurjar. Rajasthan police also say a fourth accused, Zuber Ahmed, remains at large.
