Delhi – PM Narendra Modi flags off four Vande Bharat Express trains today. Four new train routes have been unveiled - Banaras–Khajuraho, Firozpur–Delhi, Lucknow–Saharanpur and Ernakulam–Bengaluru. PM Modi stated that these new connections will boost connectivity across states and facilitate the train journey.
PM Modi said that he is “delighted to flag off four Vande Bharat trains. These will enhance connectivity and provide greater comfort for citizens.” He added, ‘Infrastructure has played an important role in the development of most nations... The development of a city begins on its own as soon as it gets better connectivity... Infrastructure is not limited to huge bridges and highways.”

Varanasi-Khajuraho: This Vande Bharat Express will cover this route in 2 hrs 45 mins. This route will ease the journey of the pilgrimages as it will connect Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot and Khajuraho.
Firozpur-Delhi: This Vande Bharat Express will cover Delhi, Punjab’s Firozpur, Bathinda and Patiala in just 6 hrs 40 mins. This is the fastest train among these 4 trains.
Lucknow-Saharanpur: This will take 7 hrs 45 mins which is an hour less than the normal journey time. This route will connect Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bijnor and Saharanpur.
Ernakulam-Bengaluru: This route will cover major IT hubs and cities in Bengaluru, Karnataka and Keral within 8 hrs 40 mins. This train will save nearly more than 2 hours of normal travel time.
