Pakistan Urged to Boycott India After Asia Cup Trophy Controversy

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal has demanded that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) boycott future matches against India in multi-nation tournaments following a tense trophy-presentation incident at Asia Cup 2025. India, fresh off a five-wicket win in the final, refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi — head of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and also affiliated with Pakistan — delaying the ceremony by 45 minutes.

as “cheap behaviour” and called on other cricket boards to unite and take a stand against what he described as politicization of sport. “If others don’t play them, no money will come,” he said, questioning the neutrality of decision-making in bodies like the ICC and ACC.
