A shocking case has emerged from Gujarat where a man has been accused of repeatedly assaulting his sister at knifepoint. Reports state that the accused not only forced himself on her but also inflicted burn marks using a bidi.
The survivor later approached the police and lodged a complaint, following which an investigation was initiated. Officials confirmed that the accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Authorities said the matter is being taken seriously, and the victim has been provided medical assistance and counselling. Police have assured that strict action will be taken to ensure justice.
