Desk Correspondent , New Delhi – Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday warned India’s neighbor of “unprecedented and decisive” action, if they commit any misadventure amid the ongoing war in West Asia involving Iran. Addressing at a Sainik Samman Sammelan in poll-bound Kerala, Singh said without naming Pakistan, “Our neighbour, in the current situation, can commit any misadventure. If it does so, India’s action will be unprecedented and decisive.” He added that Operation Sindoor “is not over yet.”
Singh also stated that the Indian Navy is escorting tankers through the Strait of Hormuz and dismissed rumors of any fuel crisis, assuring the country is prepared to deal with any energy shortfall. He emphasized that India would take all steps to protect its citizens working in West Asia.
The remarks come against the backdrop of the full-blown Iran war triggered by US-Israel strikes on February 28. Last year, India launched Operation Sindoor in May against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and POK following a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22.
The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will be inaugurated on April 14, cutting travel time between the capital and the hills to just about 2.5 hours, with a 100 km/h speed limit for cars. It’s a major boost for connectivity and tourism in North India.
