Desk Correspondent , New Delhi – Reports from Friday March 27 suggests Central Government of Indian has decides to cut excise duties on petrol and diesel amid the global fuel supply disruption caused by the US-Iran conflict. Despite the excise duty cut order on Tuesday the fuel price remains unchanged. Diesel price was cut down ₹3 and petrol cut was zero rupees.
In this crisis of a situation the people are crowding fuel stations in a panic. Hindustan Times report suggests, in Uttar Pradesh police was deployed in several outlets to prevent any kind of chaos break-out. Although excise duties have been cut in major urban cities the prices remain unchanged. Hyderabad being the highest ₹107.46 per litre petrol. In the last 10 Days price fluctuation range can be observed going between ₹103.50 and ₹90 per litre across cities

This news by central government came between a supply disruption caused by the US-Iran conflict. Major supply routes like the Strait of Hormuz are being blocked off causing the fuel prices to skyrocket. The present global crude oil price has reached over $100 per barrel. According to PTI’s report, Nayara Energy, India’s largest private fuel retailer, which operates 6, 967 out of 102,075 fuel stations in India has increased their fuel price. For petrol the price has increased by ₹5.30 per litre and in case of diesel ₹3 per litre.
