Shivani Jaiswal , New Delhi - The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that customers will be charged ₹15 per cash withdrawalafter exceeding the prescribed limit of four cash withdrawal transactions from October 1. The revised charges will apply as per the bank's updated service guidelines.
According to SBI, customers can continue to make up to four eligible cash withdrawals without any additional fee under the applicable rules. Once the free transaction limit is exhausted, a charge of ₹15 plus applicable taxes will be levied on every additional cash withdrawal.
The bank said the revised charges are aimed at encouraging greater use of digital banking services while streamlining cash transactions. Customers are advised to check the detailed guidelines applicable to their account type and stay informed about the updated banking rules before the changes come into effect.
