Amruta Fadnavis, social activist and wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, led a beach clean-up drive at Juhu in Mumbai following Ganesh visarjan. The clean-up drive was organised after the immersion of idols concluded across Mumbai, leaving large quantities of plastic, flowers, and other waste on the beaches. Akshay Kumar echoed her views, calling for sustainable celebrations and urging Mumbaikars to minimise plastic usage during festivities.

Officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that clearance operations are underway at multiple immersion points across the city. They welcomed public participation, saying such efforts complement government action and promote long-term awareness.
