Ananya Lohia , Mumbai -  Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has reportedly received an alleged death threat linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting Mumbai Police to launch a verification of a social media post and an audio message circulating online. However, no official complaint has been filed by the actor or his team so far.

According to reports, the alleged threat was posted on social media by individuals claiming to be associates of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The post accused Aamir Khan of promoting "love jihad" and warned him of consequences. It also referred to a recent crime involving a 13-year-old girl in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar, praising the administration's action while threatening those allegedly trying to protect the accused.

Mumbai Police and the Cyber Cell are examining the authenticity of both the social media post and the voice note to determine whether they are genuinely linked to the Bishnoi gang. The alleged threat comes amid a series of similar warnings previously issued to actor Salman Khan, who has remained a frequent target of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, including the firing incident outside his Mumbai residence in 2024.

Police have urged caution as the investigation continues, stating that further action will depend on the verification of the messages and any formal complaint filed by the actor. The incident has once again raised concerns over the safety of high-profile public figures in the country.
