Ananya Lohia , Mumbai - The makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai finally released the trailer of the comedy entertainer on Saturday after abruptly cancelling its grand trailer launch event on May 21. Starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, the trailer was quietly dropped on YouTube amid ongoing buzz surrounding a legal dispute linked to the film’s recreated song Chunari Chunari.

The trailer introduces audiences to the chaotic and comic world of Varun Dhawan’s character, who is deeply in love with his wife, played by Mrunal Thakur. However, his excessive affection and desperate wish to become a father eventually push their relationship to the edge, landing the couple in court during divorce proceedings. Things become even more complicated when Varun’s character falls in love with Pooja Hegde’s character as well. In a bizarre twist, he ends up becoming the father of both Mrunal and Pooja’s children, leading to complete confusion and a series of comic situations. The trailer promises a full-fledged entertainer packed with romance, misunderstandings and family drama. Jimmy Shergill appears as Pooja’s strict and intimidating brother, while Maniesh Paul plays Varun’s friend who helps him hide the truth from both women. Mouni Roy also features in a quirky role as Varun’s fake mother.
The trailer release had earlier been postponed due to what the makers called a “technical glitch.” However, reports claimed the delay was linked to a legal battle between producer Vashu Bhagnani’s production house and Tips Music over the recreated version of Chunari Chunari. Despite the controversy, the recreated song can still be heard in the trailer.
