Popular radio personality RJ Mahvash has sparked a major controversy online after sharing a video that seemed to poke fun at serious cheating rumours. The rumours involve star cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal. The couple had recently postponed their wedding, which was scheduled for November 23, due to health issues concerning Smriti’s father. However, this delay led to unverified claims spreading across social media, suggesting Palash had been unfaithful.

In the video, Mahvash delivered a sharp-tongued monologue. She started by jokingly saying that men are always "single" whenever you ask them. She then directly referenced the situation without naming anyone. Mahvash told her female followers to act as her "saviours" and expose her future partner by making his private messages (DMs) public if he ever cheated. Her comments, which showed a clear lack of trust in men, were widely seen as a cruel dig at the couple's personal troubles during their difficult time.
The video immediately drew a furious response from the public. Social media users flooded her post with comments, calling her actions "insensitive," "rude," and a new "low" for an influencer. Many critics pointed out that making a joke about such personal turmoil was especially wrong because Smriti Mandhana is a respected figure who represents the country. The strong reaction shows that the public has little tolerance for those who try to profit from the emotional pain of others.
