London, August 26 – Kelly Osbourne, daughter of the late music legend Ozzy Osbourne, has openly criticised WWE wrestler Becky Lynch for a controversial remark about her father during a show in Birmingham.
On Monday Night Raw, Lynch declined to accept a match in Birmingham, saying she would not fight there. She then added that the “only good thing that came out of here died a month ago,” a statement many interpreted as a reference to Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away recently. The remark received a mixed reaction from the live audience but sparked backlash online.
Kelly Osbourne responded strongly on social media, calling Lynch a “dirtbag” and slamming her words as “disrespectful.” She expressed her anger further by writing that she “would not even piss on her if she were on fire.”
The remark has triggered criticism from fans of both wrestling and music. Many described it as insensitive and ill-timed, noting that the Osbourne family is still mourning Ozzy’s death. Some also accused WWE of crossing a line by allowing such a statement to air on live television.
Becky Lynch, who is known for her bold in-ring persona designed to provoke strong reactions, has yet to address the controversy. WWE, too, has not issued an official comment.
The incident has reignited discussions about the balance between scripted wrestling entertainment and respect for personal loss, with fans questioning whether certain limits should be observed in pursuit of drama.
