Mumbai, August 25 – Actor Avneet Kaur, who is currently busy promoting her international film Love in Vietnam, has finally spoken about the buzz created after cricket star Virat Kohli accidentally liked one of her Instagram posts earlier this year.
The incident, which took place in April, triggered a wave of memes and social media discussions. Kohli later clarified that the like was purely unintentional, caused while clearing his feed, and described it as a result of an algorithm glitch. Despite the clarification, the moment went viral, with fans drawing unexpected attention to Kaur’s social media presence.
Addressing the matter publicly for the first time during the trailer launch of her film, Avneet chose a graceful response. When asked about the support and affection she receives from fans and celebrities, she smiled and replied, “Milta rahe pyaar... bas. Aur kya bolun main?” (“May the love keep coming... what more can I say?”).
Industry observers note that the episode unexpectedly boosted her digital reach. Reports suggest that Avneet gained over a million new Instagram followers in the weeks following the incident, in addition to landing multiple brand endorsement deals. Her market visibility, especially among younger audiences, has grown significantly.
While the accidental ‘like’ was a lighthearted moment, Kaur’s poised reaction has been praised by fans. With Love in Vietnam set to release soon, the actor appears focused on her work while handling viral attention with calm composure.
