Ananya Lohia , Mumbai - Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's much-awaited action thriller Alpha has made a decent start at the Indian box office on its opening day. The first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe hit theatres on Thursday to a mixed response from critics and audiences.
According to Sacnilk's live estimates, Alpha had collected Rs 5.45 crore net in India by 8 PM on Day 1, with the figures expected to rise as late-night shows conclude. Released across 6,490 shows, the film has secured a wide theatrical release nationwide.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead, with Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film also features a special appearance by Hrithik Roshan as Kabir, connecting it to the YRF Spy Universe.
While Alpha has opened on a steady note, its weekend performance will determine whether it can build strong box office momentum. With positive word-of-mouth and franchise appeal, all eyes are now on its opening weekend collections.
