Ananya Lohia , Delhi - A viral video of a Sensodyne advertisement featuring actor Divya Unny being defaced with paan spit has ignited widespread outrage online. But instead of reacting with anger, the actor delivered a powerful message, saying the incident reflects a much deeper problem in society than a personal insult.

Breaking her silence, Divya said the face on the poster was not just hers but represented every woman. She questioned why, despite several male politicians' posters being displayed on the same wall, only the woman's image was targeted, calling it a disturbing example of the disrespect women continue to face.

The actor stressed that the real battle is against the mindset that normalises the humiliation, violence and discrimination faced by women. She said she hopes to use her films and storytelling to challenge these attitudes and encourage meaningful social change.
