Zubin Bharucha, Director of High Performance at Rajasthan Royals, has urged India’s chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar to immediately “blood” teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi into the senior team.
Bharucha compared Vaibhav’s early promise to that of Sachin Tendulkar, arguing that selectors must act swiftly. He suggested Vaibhav could be fast-tracked to India A or even the senior side without delay.
At just 14 years old, Suryavanshi has been making waves in youth cricket. In the IPL, he notched the fastest century by an Indian, reaching triple figures in just 35 balls. He also hit a blazing century in a youth ODI against England, while having made his first-class debut at age 12.
