In a significant twist in the investigation into singer Zubeen Garg’s death, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested two of his personal security officers (PSOs). The detentions came just a day after his cousin, Sandipan Garg, who was also a serving Assam Police officer, was taken into custody.
The arrested PSOs have been identified as Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya, both of whom had been assigned to protect Garg for a long time. According to officials, investigations have revealed a financial trail exceeding ₹1 crore in the bank accounts of these PSOs, raising suspicions of money flow linked to the singer’s death.
Garg had passed away on September 19 in Singapore under mysterious circumstances while swimming at a yacht party. His cousin Sandipan, who accompanied him on the trip, was earlier suspended from service following his arrest
