Mumbai – At 89, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away. Several media spotted his wife Hema Malini and his elder daughter Esha Deol at at Mumbai's Pawan Hans crematorium. Earlier, Dharmendra had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for his health complications. Few weeks ago, when Dharmendra got admitted to the hospital, Hema Malini, with her gesture, affirmed that Dharmendra was okay. Now, the Bollywood is remembering him.
Two weeks ago from his death, Dharmendra’s family brought him home from the hospital. He was discharged at 07:30 am this morning. Bollywood superstars, Sharukh Khan, Salman Khan and Amir Khan visited Dharmendra at his house in these two weeks period. Bollywood director cum producer Karan Johar paid tribute to the legend. “It is an end of an ERA….. a massive mega star… the embodiment of a HERO in mainstream cinema… The heavens are blessed today…. It will always be my blessing to have worked with you…. And my heart says with respect, reverence and love…. Abhi Na jao chodke…. Ke dil abhi bhara nahi……OM SHANTI” he posted.
The actor, Dharmendra will be next seen in the war drama 'Ikkis' starring Agastya Nanda. Today, the poster of Dharmendra has also been released, where he has been attributed as “timeless legend.” Production banner Maddock Films uploaded the poster of the actor on the official X handle. "Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21-year-old immortal soldier.
