Desk Correspondent , Delhi - Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has launched a blistering attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray following the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance’s landslide victory in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. As trends confirmed the BJP’s sweep across Mumbai’s civic wards, Ranaut took to social media to celebrate the downfall of the opposition, labeling them "women-haters." Recalling the 2020 incident where her Mumbai office was partially demolished by the BMC under the then-Thackeray-led MVA government, she asserted that "justice has been served" by the people of Mumbai.

In a series of pointed remarks, Ranaut suggested that the electoral loss was "karmic retribution" for the targeted harassment she faced years ago. "Those who demolished my house, thinking they could break my spirit, have been demolished themselves by the mandate of the people," she stated. She argued that the Thackeray faction’s "ego and hostility" toward women who speak their minds led to their eventual rejection at the polls. According to Ranaut, the sweep in the BMC—a bastion the Shiv Sena had controlled for decades—signifies a "new dawn" for Mumbai, free from the "vendetta politics" of the previous regime.

The BJP MP further credited the victory to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the "resilience" of the Mahayuti cadre. She emphasized that Mumbai has finally chosen "development over drama," ending an era where she claims the civic body was used as a tool for personal grudges. While the Shiv Sena (UBT) has yet to issue a formal response to her jibes, Ranaut’s comments have added a layer of personal triumph to the political earthquake in Maharashtra, framing the BMC result not just as a policy win, but as a moral victory for those she believes were victimized by the "old guard."
