Bengaluru, Aug 14 — A woman was taken into custody after a video of her verbally abusing traffic police officers in Yelahanka New Town went viral on social media.
According to police, the incident occurred when officers placed a wheel clamp on her two-wheeler during a traffic check. The woman was seen shouting aggressively in Hindi, using foul language, and threatening a female officer. In the video, she can be heard defending a man accompanying her and warning police not to speak to him.
Despite the verbal assault, the officers remained calm, with one male officer stating that they were speaking respectfully because she was a woman. The Yelahanka New Town Police later confirmed that a case had been registered against her.
Officials said an investigation is underway into the incident, which has drawn wide attention online for the nature of the confrontation and the officers’ composed response.
