Tragic Train Accident Claims Lives of Seven Elephants

Desk Correspondent , Dispur - A very sad accident happened in Assam when a fast Rajdhani Express train hit a herd of elephants crossing the tracks. The impact was so strong that seven elephants lost their lives immediately at the spot. Because of the collision, several coaches of the train also went off the tracks, causing fear among the passengers. Railway officials and forest guards rushed to the forest area as soon as they heard the news. It is a heartbreaking day for nature lovers who care deeply about these gentle giants.

The passengers on the train were very lucky as no serious human injuries were reported during the derailment. However, the sight of the dead elephants left many people in tears and deep shock. Local villagers gathered near the tracks to pay their respects to the animals, which are considered sacred by many. The train service on this busy route had to be stopped for many hours to clear the path. Workers used heavy machinery to move the train cars and help the forest department with the animals.

Forest officials are now looking into why the elephants were on the tracks at that specific time. They want to find better ways to stop such terrible accidents from happening again in the future. Many people are asking for slower train speeds in areas where wild animals live and move around. This tragedy reminds everyone how important it is to protect wildlife from fast-moving modern transport. The community hopes that the government will take quick action to make the forest corridors safer for all animals.
