Delhi - A sad incident has cast a shadow over one of India's wealthiest business families. The daughter-in-law of the owner of the Kamla Pasand pan masala company was found dead at her home in an apparent suicide. The 38-year-old woman, who lived in Vasant Vihar, Delhi, with her husband and two young children, was rushed to the hospital after being found in her bedroom dressing room. The police were immediately called, and they have begun a procedural inquiry into the mysterious circumstances of her death.

During the initial police search, a diary was found in her room. Inside, she had made an entry speaking of "relationship issues." Police officers have confirmed that the entry did not name or blame anyone for her distress. However, the woman's brother has come forward with very serious claims. He alleges that his sister was being "harassed" and "tortured" by her husband and in-laws. He claimed that the deceased’s husband had even taken a second, illegal wife.
The brother said that the family had taken the woman away to Kolkata for a while, only for her in-laws to promise to "fix things" to bring her back. Sadly, the brother claims the torture continued. While the family's lawyer has called these claims "baseless," the police are now looking deeper into the case. No formal charge sheet has been filed, but the focus is now on the personal life of the deceased. This heartbreaking incident shows that deep personal pain can exist even inside the walls of great wealth.
