The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab government in connection with a petition filed by the wife of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Pathanmajra, who has been declared a fugitive. The MLA, who is currently absconding, is facing multiple cases registered by Punjab Police. His wife has argued in court that the proceedings against him are unjust and intended to target him for political reasons.
