Desk Correspondent , Washington D.C - Oscar-winning actor Nicole Kidman and country music star Keith Urban have officially finalized their divorce after 19 years of marriage. The legal proceedings were concluded in a Nashville court on January 6, 2026, just over three months after the couple shocked fans by announcing their separation. According to the court documents, both parties have agreed to waive all claims to alimony and child support, opting for a clean financial break where each is responsible for their own legal fees and expenses.

The settlement includes a detailed "parenting plan" for their daughters, Sunday (17) and Faith (15). Nicole Kidman has been granted primary physical residence, with the girls spending 306 days a year with her. Keith Urban has been allotted 59 days, including alternate weekends. Despite the disparity in physical time, the pair will maintain joint responsibility for all major life decisions regarding their children. The agreement explicitly requires both parents to maintain a "loving, stable, and consistent" relationship with the children and forbids them from speaking ill of one another.

The split marks the end of a relationship that began in 2005 and was widely considered one of the most stable in Hollywood. Kidman, who filed for divorce on September 30, 2025, cited "irreconcilable differences" and "marital difficulties" as the reason for the dissolution. While the couple had confirmed they were dividing their assets amicably, the swift finalization of the divorce suggests a high level of cooperation. Since the separation, Kidman has focused on her family, recently sharing a heartfelt New Year's Eve photo with her daughters as she navigates her first year as a single mother since her 2001 divorce from Tom Cruise.
