Desk Correspondent , Kolkata - Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee unfortunately passed away on Sunday while filming in Odisha due an accident. The 43-year-old artist known for his screen presence in both movies and TV series was swallowed by the sea. A few hours after this shocking incident several pictures of his lifeless body started circulating on the internet. Puja Banerjee a fellow actor slammed those are taking participation in this apathetic act and urges to remove the pictures as soon as possible.
Reportedly, Rahul was at Odisha’s Talsari beach shooting for a Bengali daily soap. According to the director’s statement the actor was giving a drone shot on over knee-deep water when suddenly a massive wave came and swept him under. However, few hours after he was declared dead, many photos and videos of his lifeless body was shared on social media. His co-start and actor Puja Banerjee denounced the people on the on social media by posting a story. In this story she wrote, “Shame on media and shame on us public who likes the pics of dead people who when alive was an artist and their family’s crying videos. It’s the fault of both sides, log dekhte hai isliye media dikhati hai (people watch so the media show it). When alive, he was an artist and belonged to public, but when e lost his life, he became someone’s husband, son, brother and most importantly, a father. Show some respect, people. I request pls delete his dead body’s pics and videos.” Ending the story with “RIP Rahul.”
Rahul Arunoday Banerjee was an excellent actor. He may have not been liked by everyone, but his death ended up even moving those who disliked him. His blockbuster “Chirodini Tumi je Amar” (2008) remains a cult classic in the hearts on Bengali audience.
