Faridabad, August 20 — Police in Faridabad arrested a man accused in the recent firing incident involving YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav. The arrest came after an encounter late Monday night, officials confirmed.
According to police, the accused had been absconding since the firing outside Yadav’s car in Gurugram last week. Acting on a tip-off, a special team tracked him near Faridabad, where he allegedly opened fire at police personnel. In retaliation, the accused sustained a bullet injury in the leg before being overpowered and taken into custody. He is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Authorities stated that the accused has several criminal cases registered against him, including extortion and attempt to murder. Investigators believe the shooting incident may have been linked to personal enmity or intimidation attempts.
Elvish Yadav, who escaped unhurt during the attack, had earlier urged police to ensure strict action and stronger security. The incident has triggered wide discussions on the safety of public figures and the growing influence of criminal gangs in NCR regions.
Police said further questioning will help uncover the motive and identify other individuals involved in the case.
Since the incident the jawan has been arrestted and protest continues at Shitalpur Gate No. 3,
