The Chief Minister, who was recently discharged from hospital after a brief period of medical care, will now lead a high-level meeting to review the flood situation in the state. Officials confirmed that the CM’s health has improved and he is determined to return to duty without delay.
The meeting, expected to take place soon, will bring together senior officials from disaster management, irrigation, health, and revenue departments. The agenda includes assessing the overall damage caused by heavy rains, monitoring river water levels, and evaluating relief measures already in place. The Chief Minister is also likely to direct officials to speed up rescue efforts and ensure timely distribution of food, medicines, and essential supplies to the affected population.
Floods have disrupted normal life in several districts, leaving many villages cut off and thousands of people displaced. Reports indicate widespread damage to houses, standing crops, and roads. The state government is preparing to release emergency funds to support relief operations, while additional rescue teams and medical units may also be sent to the worst-hit areas.
Sources said the Chief Minister is keen to personally monitor rehabilitation work, including setting up temporary shelters, organizing health camps, and restoring connectivity in marooned regions. Citizens living in vulnerable zones have been urged to remain alert and follow official safety guidelines.
The government is expected to scale up its response in the coming days as the situation remains critical in several flood-prone districts.
