A shocking incident was reported in Noida where a delivery agent allegedly held a woman’s child at knifepoint and attempted to assault her. Police confirmed that the accused entered the woman’s home under the pretext of delivering a package and then threatened her to strip while keeping the child as a hostage.
The woman managed to raise an alarm, after which neighbors rushed to her aid. The accused tried to flee but was caught and handed over to the police. Officials stated that the man has been booked under sections related to assault, attempt to outrage modesty, and criminal intimidation.
Investigators are now verifying the background of the accused and whether he has any prior criminal record. The delivery company has also been contacted by authorities to confirm his employment details and to ensure strict verification of its staff.
Police have assured the public that the case will be fast-tracked and strict action will be taken. The child and the woman are reported to be safe, though they remain deeply shaken by the traumatic incident.
