Delhi to Dehradun in 2.5 Hours: PM Modi Opens High-Speed Corridor Today
Desk Correspondent , New Delhi - Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday 14 April, 2026 inaugurated the much- awaited Delhi–Dehradun high-speed economic corridor, marking a major boost to road connectivity in North India. The newly opened expressway is set to significantly enhance connectivity between the national capital and Uttarakhand, reducing travel time and easing traffic congestion.
The 213-km long Greenfield corridor, access-controlled expressway will cut travel time from nearly six hours to just about 2.5 hours, offering fastest and easiest way transit for tourists alike. The project estimated to cost of around ₹12,000- 13,000 crore, the corridor also features advanced infrastructure, including multiple interchanges and eco-friendly wildlife crossings. It will nearly begins near Akshardham in Delhi and will pass through key districts of Uttar Pradesh including Baghpat, Baraut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, and Saharanpur , before reaching Dehradun.
With this inauguration, India takes another step towards modern, high-speed connectivity. The corridor stands as a symbol of rapid development, promising faster travel, and economic growth. It reflects the government’s continued focus on building world-class infrastructure for a more connected future.
