Ananya Lohia , Kolkata - The political row over the alleged rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in Baruipur has intensified, with the Trinamool Congress alleging that heavy police deployment and barricades were placed outside the residences of Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee to prevent them from visiting the victim's family.
The TMC claimed that security personnel and route marches outside the two leaders' residences were aimed at restricting their movement. Senior TMC leader Derek O'Brien shared visuals on social media, alleging that central forces had effectively confined the leaders to their homes.
