Continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days has triggered severe flooding in parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, leaving at least two people dead and disrupting normal life. Several low-lying areas have been submerged, forcing authorities to launch relief and rescue operations.
In Telangana, water levels in major rivers and reservoirs have risen sharply, prompting the evacuation of residents from vulnerable villages. Roads have been damaged in multiple districts, affecting the movement of essential supplies.
Andhra Pradesh has also reported extensive damage, with floodwaters entering homes and farmlands. Schools in the affected regions have been ordered to remain closed for safety reasons. Disaster management teams, along with the police and local volunteers, are working to provide shelter, food, and medical aid to those affected.
Authorities have urged people to remain indoors, avoid flooded areas, and follow official updates as efforts continue to restore normalcy.
