The floods, which have claimed over 50 lives, displaced 4 lakh people, and damaged crops in 2,200 villages, were triggered by the swelling Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers following heavy rainfall and sudden dam releases.
The comprehensive relief kits are designed to address immediate health, safety, and shelter needs, helping families rebuild their lives with dignity. These kits include medicines, hygiene supplies, food items, mosquito nets, tarpaulin sheets, folding beds, and cotton mattresses.
