Ananya Lohia , England - Indian Marvel fans have another reason to get excited as Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive in cinemas on July 30, 2026, a day earlier than previously announced. Sony Pictures Entertainment India has also confirmed that advance bookings for premium large-format screenings will open on June 17.
Audiences will be able to book tickets for IMAX, 4DX, MX4D and other premium formats ahead of the film's release. The announcement comes amid massive anticipation for the movie, with Sony revealing that its trailer became the first film trailer to cross one billion views across platforms. The film marks Tom Holland's return to a solo Spider-Man adventure after nearly five years. Set after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the story follows Peter Parker as he lives a solitary life and dedicates himself entirely to protecting New York City in a world that no longer remembers him. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has described the film as a return to the classic Spider-Man seen in the comics, focusing on Peter Parker's everyday struggles rather than advanced technology and a network of allies.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film explores themes of grief, loss and emotional resilience. Alongside Holland, the cast includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher and Stranger Things star Sadie Sink in a mystery role. In the United States, Amazon Prime members will also get access to special early screenings on July 29.
Beyond being another Spider-Man adventure, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Avengers: Secret Wars. The film will release across India in six languages — English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
