Global star Priyanka Chopra is poised for a major Indian cinema comeback, with strong reports linking her to director SS Rajamouli's upcoming film, SSMB29. The highly anticipated action-adventure stars Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and is touted as India's most expensive film, with a reported budget of Rs 1000 crore.

Speculation about Chopra's involvement intensified after she visited Hyderabad's Chilkur Balaji temple to seek blessings for a "new chapter". Fans believe this new chapter is SSMB29, which would be her first Indian movie since 2019's The Sky Is Pink. While neither Chopra nor the filmmakers have officially confirmed her role, it has been reported she charged Rs 30 crore for the part.

The acclaimed RRR director is planning a film of immense visual grandeur, with reports suggesting he will recreate the holy city of Varanasi on a massive set, particularly its iconic Manikarnika Ghat. Filming is also scheduled to take place in the forests of Kenya and other locations in Africa. Actor John Abraham is reportedly set to play the antagonist opposite Mahesh Babu.
