Desk Correspondent , Kolkata - Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled a set of "six guarantees" for West Bengal during rallies in Haldia and Purba Medinipur on April 8, 2026, ahead of the state assembly elections, promising the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission and to reopen all rape cases and crimes against women.
Modi assured state government employees, teachers, and pensioners that a BJP government would roll out the long pending 7th Pay Commission within 45 days of coming to power, addressing demands ignored by the TMC regime. He also vowed to reopen every major corruption file, scam, and crime against women including rape cases ensuring "no TMC goon or corrupt minister escapes justice," while driving out illegal infiltrators.
The promises aim to counter TMC's governance on law and order, corruption, and welfare, with Modi urging voters to choose BJP for fear free administration and accountability. TMC leaders dismissed the pledges as empty rhetoric, accusing BJP of divisive politics ahead of the two phase polls.
