The Delhi Police Special Cell has successfully prevented a possible terror attack in India by arresting five suspects during a series of coordinated raids across multiple states.
According to officials, the operation was launched after intelligence inputs suggested that a group was planning to carry out attacks in the country. Acting swiftly, the Special Cell teams conducted searches in different locations and detained individuals suspected of being part of the network.
The arrested men are now being questioned to uncover the larger plan, their links to terror groups, and the source of funding and weapons. Police sources said the raids also led to the recovery of incriminating material, which is being examined by investigators.
Senior officers of Delhi Police praised the efforts of the Special Cell, noting that the arrests have likely averted a major strike that could have caused significant loss of life. The crackdown is being described as a major success for India’s counter-terrorism measures.
Further investigations are underway to identify other members of the network and to determine whether the group had international connections. Security agencies remain on high alert to ensure there are no further threats.
This operation highlights the importance of coordination between central and state agencies in tackling terror activities and ensuring public safety.
