Ananya Lohia, Mumbai - A light-hearted yet attention-grabbing remark from filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan is making headlines across the entertainment world. Farah recently praised actor Aparshakti Khurana for his comic timing, even saying that he has an edge over his brother, Ayushmann Khurrana.
The comment came during a recent interaction where Farah Khan visited Aparshakti’s Mumbai home for one of her popular cooking vlogs, accompanied by her cook Dilip. During the visit, she gave viewers a tour of the actor’s house, describing its aesthetic as a blend of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film set and her own Om Shanti Om. She was totally impressed by the interior of the house. It was here that Farah openly appreciated Aparshakti’s growth as an actor. She remembered the first time she met Aparshakti, back when he was working as a radio jockey and both their paths crossed during promotions of Om Shanti Om. She recalled her first impression and said, ' Jab yeh filmon mein aa raha tha, mujhe laga tha RJ kaise hi aayega, but he's done so good in industry. Not only that, he has also become such a good actor. She remarked that Aparshakti has developed a very natural and effortless sense of humour on screen. According to Farah, his comic timing feels spontaneous and relatable, which makes his performances stand out. She even added, “He has become such a good actor,” highlighting how far he has come in his journey. Talking about the Khurana brothers, both have carved distinct identities in Bollywood.
Ayushmann Khurrana is known for his unconventional film choices and strong lead performances in content-driven cinema. From socially relevant stories to quirky comedies, he has built a reputation as one of the most versatile actors in the industry.
On the other hand, Aparshakti Khurana started his career with supporting roles but quickly gained popularity for his memorable comic performances and strong screen presence. Over time, he has impressed audiences with his ability to leave a lasting impact, even in limited screen time, and is now gradually stepping into more prominent roles. Farah’s comparison between the two brothers, especially in terms of comic timing, has sparked mixed reactions among fans. While many agree that Aparshakti’s humour feels natural and scene-stealing, others continue to back Ayushmann’s broader versatility and experience as a lead actor.
Farah Khan’s statement has certainly reignited conversations about talent, growth, and individuality in Bollywood. While comparisons between siblings are inevitable, both Aparshakti Khurana and Ayushmann Khurrana continue to shine in their own space—proving that each has a unique journey and style that resonates with audiences.
Shahid Kapoor chose to stay grounded and cautions, stating he never believes anything anybody says unless he has witnessed it firsthand, effectively taking a balanced stance on the humor.
