Ananya Lohia , Mumbai - Despite receiving praise from critics and audiences, Bandar has struggled to translate positive reviews into box office success. Starring Bobby Deol and directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film saw only a modest jump in collections on its second day.

According to trade estimates, Bandar earned ₹95 lakh on Day 2 after opening with ₹50 lakh on Friday, taking its total India net collection to ₹1.45 crore. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 22.06% on Saturday, with night shows performing best at 29.54%. The film is facing strong competition from Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Peddi. While Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has crossed ₹23 crore worldwide, Peddi has emerged as a major box-office force with over ₹235 crore in global earnings.

Unlike its competitors, Bandar has been released on a limited scale. Explaining the strategy, representatives from Zee Studios said the film was targeted at a niche audience and released in around 500-600 screens, with plans to expand based on word-of-mouth response.

The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Riddhi Sen, and Indrajith Sukumaran in key roles. The screenplay has been penned by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, while the project is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi's Saffron Magic works and is backed by Zee Studios.
