Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's latest horror-comedy film, Thamma, has made a strong debut at the Indian box office, grossing ₹25.11 crore on its opening day. Released on October 21, 2025, the film is the fifth installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, following hits like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma tells the story of Alok Goyal, a journalist who transforms into a vampire-like Betaal after a mysterious encounter during a mountain trek. The film also stars Paresh Rawal and Geeta Agarwal Sharma as Alok's parents.
