At the festival, Jolie was promoting her latest film, Couture, where she portrays an American film director facing personal and health challenges. The film is competing for the festival's top honor, the Golden Shell. Jolie shared that she personally relates to her character's struggles, having undergone a double mastectomy and the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes due to a high genetic risk of cancer.
