Desk Correspondent , Lucknow - Minimum wage increased in Uttar Pradesh after the massive conflict on Monday, 13 April. The Noida unrest forced the government's hand into creating a high-powered committee for wage rules revision. Gautam Buddha Nagar district magistrate Medha Roopam said the committee's approval was cleared by the Chief Minister at late night on Monday.
The current wages are, for unskilled workers in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad will be ₹13,690 per month, up from ₹11,313. Semi-skilled workers will receive ₹15,059, while skilled workers will get ₹16,868. In the municipal corporation areas the per month wages set for unskilled workers is ₹13,006, ₹14,306 for semi-skilled workers, and ₹16,025 for skilled workers. As for other districts, the unskilled workers will earn ₹12,356 per month, semi-skilled workers ₹13,591, and skilled workers ₹15,224. CM Yogi Adityanath has asked the employer organisations to ensure workers receive their monthly salary as per the rule.
This particular adaptation was made after the massive protest in Noida by the factory worker. They demanded to have higher wages and better work conditions. Matter got out of hand when the police's lathi charge injured a female worker. As per the government's release the industry is going through a large scale shift both globally and economically. In such situations it is important that both, employee and employer adopt a harmonious approach to and kind of work related problems.
