Actor Ashish Kumar Responds to Defamation Claims Over Role in The Ba*ds of Bollywood

Actor Ashish Kumar, who portrays a narcotics officer in Aryan Khan's Netflix series The Ba*ds of Bollywood, has addressed allegations that his character is based on former NCB official Sameer Wankhede. Wankhede filed a ₹2 crore defamation lawsuit against the show's producers, claiming the character defames him and tarnishes the image of anti-drug enforcement agencies.

In response, Kumar, who plays a 'plain-clothed cop' in the series, expressed surprise at the attention his role has garnered. He shared a photo on Instagram thanking fans for their appreciation and remarked, "Just did my job," when questioned about the character's resemblance to Wankhede. He further commented, "God bless everyone, bro," in response to a fan's remark about the character's similarity to Wankhede.
