Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who directed the first film in the Dabangg franchise, has made strong allegations against actor Salman Khan and his family, describing them as “vindictive” and accusing the actor of mistreating him.
In a social media post, Kashyap referred to Khan as a “gunda” and “badtameez insaan,” alleging that the actor’s influence in the industry created hurdles in his professional journey. He claimed that after the release of Dabangg, he faced pressure from the actor and his family, which ultimately led him to distance himself from the sequel.
Kashyap also alleged that the family used their connections to sabotage his career, branding them as “vindictive.” According to him, these actions affected his opportunities in the film industry, leading to strained professional relationships.
This is not the first time the director has spoken against the Khan family. In the past, he has raised concerns about the functioning of the industry, pointing to what he describes as systemic issues of influence and power.
While Kashyap’s remarks have drawn attention, Salman Khan and his family have not issued a formal response to the latest accusations. The controversy has once again sparked debate about the influence of film families in Bollywood and the difficulties faced by outsiders in sustaining their careers.
The situation continues to attract public interest, with audiences divided over the long-standing dispute between the director and the superstar’s family.
